Garden Hills

Situated in the coveted Buckhead section of Atlanta between Peachtree and Piedmont Roads, the historic neighborhood of Garden Hills welcomes its residents with wooded streets, stately homes, plenty of green space and even a community pool and clubhouse. Combining convenience with serenity, this lush “urban forest” community is in the heart of what many consider to be the best part of Atlanta, making it one of the area’s most desired neighborhoods in which to live.

HISTORY

Originally planned as a country club neighborhood by Phillips Campbell McDuffie in 1925, the community of Garden Hills was completed in three phases over the next 10-15 years, with many of the original homes from that era still intact today. As Atlanta’s urban sprawl continued around the neighborhood throughout the 20th century, Garden Hills gradually became less suburban and more central, adding a few newer homes and apartments while retaining its own rural charm. Today, this neighborhood remains a haven of quietude, its historic architecture helping to preserve its relaxed southern charm in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city.
